Border Security First is Not the Priority in "AMNESTY" Bill
U.S. Senators Play Russian Roulette With Our National Security

The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps (MCDC) expresses deep skepticism over the amnesty legislation that was introduced yesterday in the United State Senate that effectively creates the roadmap to the dangerously deep and wide illegal alien amnesty program that President George W. Bush has been aggressively espousing since his State of the Union Address in January. [Read More]

Immigration Issues Nag At GOP Candidates
Ask the leading Republican presidential candidates about dealing with illegal immigration, and inevitably the answer focuses on tightening border security and building fences. What voters aren't hearing a lot about is giving legal status, under certain conditions, to illegal immigrants in the United States, even though each of the top three GOP candidates has supported such a policy. The reason has a lot to do with a deep fissure in the GOP base: Business and industry are demanding more low-wage workers, while grass-roots conservatives are demanding that those workers be shipped home. Clinton Taps Hispanic Outreach Leader
Sen. Hillary Clinton Names Former La Raza Leader to Head Campaign's Hispanic Outreach

Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton announced Thursday that Raul Yzaguirre, a prominent Hispanic activist and former president of the National Council of La Raza, would co-chair her presidential campaign and lead its outreach to Hispanic voters. "Hillary Clinton has spent more than three decades advocating on behalf of those who are invisible in America," Yzaguirre said in a statement. "Not only is she the most experienced and qualified candidate to be president, Senator Clinton has the ability to bring people together to get results and move this country forward." [Read More]

Duncan Hunter: GOP Dark Horse or White Knight?
Presidential hopeful Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., is a rock-ribbed California conservative in the Ronald Reagan mold. He has been a member of Congress since 1980, and he is Vietnam veteran. Hunter successfully sought a seat on the House Armed Services Committee and has served on this committee throughout his career for the past 26 years, becoming chairman of the full committee in 2002, which oversees a $532 billion defense budget. GOP immigration plan favors workers over relatives
A White House proposal for overhauling immigration laws would abandon the long-standing practice of admitting immigrants seeking to reunite with their families, instead giving preference to applicants based on the nation's employment needs. The wide-ranging proposals to stem illegal immigration also include enforcement requirements that must be met before other changes can go forward. [Read More]

Romney Shifts on Immigration, Sharpening Contrast With McCain
Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney had a tough message on immigration at a March 22 luncheon in Council Bluffs, Iowa. "I don't think there should be a special pathway to citizenship for those that are here illegally,'' he said. ``It makes no sense at all to have a border which is basically concrete against skill and education but wide open to people to just walk on in who have neither.'' '08 slate without standout for GOP
Many conservatives say they pick "none of the above" when faced with a choice of Arizona Sen. John McCain, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former New York Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani as the 2008 Republican presidential nominee. "When I look at these top three guys, I think of Shania Twain singing 'That don't impress me much,' " said former House Majority Leader Dick Armey, referring to the popular country singer. Such dissatisfaction with the leading Republican presidential candidates is widespread among the party's conservative stalwarts, including many of the 150 alumni of the Reagan administration who attended an annual reunion at the Heritage Foundation on Tuesday night. Minuteman Civil Defense Corps PAC Press Release
ANYONE BUT MEL

The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps Political Action Committee (MCDCPAC) is voicing their disapproval of U.S. Senator Mel Martinez as the nominee for General Chairman of the Republican National Committee due to his weak stance on the immigration crisis plaguing our nation. Senator Martinez, who is facing strong internal contention by delegates over his nomination to the position at the GOP's Winter Session today, was the sponsor of legislation granting amnesty to illegal aliens last year, and his positions on other related matters, are in stark contrast to the beliefs of the GOP. Choice of Martinez sparks GOP rebellion
Rebellion is brewing among conservatives on the Republican National Committee over President's Bush's attempt to "impose" Sen. Mel Martinez of Florida as "general chairman" of the party, who favors "amnesty" for illegal aliens. [Read More]

McCain Joins Kennedy to Push Fast-Track Amnesty Bill
The latest scuttlebutt on Capitol Hill is that Senator John McCain (R-AZ) and his friend Senator Edward Kennedy (D-MA) are planning to introduce a new immigration bill that is even more liberal than their past "amnesty" bill. They're calling it a fast-track to citizenship for illegal aliens. US Border Patrol agents haven't been happy with Senator John McCain (R-AZ) since he voted for the first Amnesty Bill (S. 2611). Immigration raid linked to ID theft, Chertoff says
More than 1,200 people were arrested for alleged immigration violations in Tuesday's six-state raid on meat processing plants and about 65 of them face criminal charges, including identity theft, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said today. Federal officials said Operation Wagon Train netted 1,282 individuals, the largest such crackdown on illegal immigration at a single worksite. [Read More]

Border Fence Firm Snared for Hiring Illegal Workers
A fence-building company in Southern California agrees to pay nearly $5 million in fines for hiring illegal immigrants. Two executives from the company may also serve jail time. The Golden State Fence Company's work includes some of the border fence between San Diego and Mexico. After an immigration check in 1999 found undocumented workers on its payroll, Golden State promised to clean house. But when followup checks were made in 2004 and 2005, some of those same illegal workers were still on the job. [Read More]

English-only, other anti-immigrant laws spread in US
Fed up with government inaction on the hot-button issue of illegal immigration, a growing number of American towns are taking matters into their own hands adopting controversial and, some say, illegal legislation. From making English the official language of local government to banning foreign flags, more than 30 cities or municipalities across the country in recent months have adopted anti-immigrant measures. Many have also passed laws banning landlords from renting to undocumented immigrants and penalizing local businesses that hire illegals. [Read More]

How to Say "English Only!" in Spanish?
Apparently not all Americans share our president's adoration for illegal aliens and their influence on American language and culture. That is certainly the case in Farmers Branch, Texas, a suburb of Dallas where town leaders unanimously approved tough new anti-immigration measures, including one making English the official language. Summary of Minuteman PAC's election activities
Efforts instrumental in handful of crucial races

The Minuteman PAC fought long and hard this election to ensure that our nation acts in time to halt the growing flood of illegal aliens who are rapidly drowning our nation in crime, welfare costs, and elevated risk of terrorist subversion and attack. Looking at the low voter turn-out by conservatives, and the big shift away from the GOP by "Reagan Democrats," I see the results of the 2006 mid-term elections to be a strong repudiation of President Bush's open border agenda and a rejection of the generally weak pro-sovereignty record of the 109th Congress. Texas town considers anti-illegals bill
FARMERS BRANCH, Texas - This Dallas suburb could become the first city in Texas to adopt a sweeping ordinance intended to keep out illegal immigrants, a cause for concern among its large minority population. More than 50 municipalities nationwide have considered, passed or rejected laws banning landlords from leasing to illegal immigrants, penalizing businesses that employ undocumented workers and making English the local official language. The Gathering Storm
A Speech by Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA)

This summer I gave two speeches that defined the unique challenges that confront the United States as we conduct a new world war. I gave those speeches-one in Washington at the National Press Club, and one here in Pennsylvania at the Pennsylvania Press Club-because I believe that now more than ever we need to study the past, learn from events, and take proactive measures to protect our freedoms at home and provide a safer world in which to exercise those freedoms. Randy Graf vs. the Soros $$$ machine, a discredited RINO, and the open borders lobby
Voters in Arizona's 8th Congressional District have an opportunity to send someone to Congress who shares their pro-American values. These people -- living right up against the border -- have been on the front lines in the war against the invasion of this country by Mexico. Yes, invasion by Mexico, whose government (because of its corruption, incompetence, and Marxist-tinged economic policies) has millions of its people living in abject poverty. So Mexican authorities have a solution. Not a logical, low-tax, private sector plan that would attract more and better jobs so that a rising tide could lift all boats. No way. That would go against the holy grail of class hatred. [Read More]

Join Our Sidewalk Rally ... Stand for American Workers
The illegal alien lobby is planning a massive protest this week on Thursday afternoon, staging outside the Radisson Hotel in Los Angeles, and marching down Century and Sepulveda Blvd. to disrupt traffic to LAX (see www.september28th.org for more details). The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps PAC, in alliance with many other sponsors and participants, is countering this so-called "Beyond Legalization" civil disruption with a patriotic rally - "American Workers for the Rule of Law!"
